Ok , so what i would describe as window shopping is when you hear people set goals that we al know for a fact are unachievable and also way to unrealistic , i have a target which is to change peoples perfectives on disability. The goal isn’t massive yet also it isn’t small , i haven’t set my goal to completely change the world because the probability of succeeding is highly improbable.
Never set the bar to high because if your first jump you don’t even get close you may have the feeling that you’ve failed , you may not but never overshoot things. Set the bar at a basic level so when you clear the bar easily you’ll feel good about yourself.
Let’s say from 1 – 10 you set your bar at 3 and you hit 5 your going to be really pleased and proud of yourself. If you set it straight away at 8 and you only hit 6 your not going to feel so confident so start small and work your way up. It’s all about time spent , all you need to do is build and build.
Let’s use the example of pc equipment and microphones etc. If you go spend £250 on a microphone and £100 on editing software which you have no idea how to use. Or you spend £50 on a Mic and Free software and your doing everything perfectly.
Stick to the basics and work your way up. As the saying you hear a lot “All the gear , no idea?” it’s not all about being the best and having the most expensive stuff. You become successful by using the tools you have and building from them. Take your time and great a better future for yourself.
